This type of dedication is what separates true speedruns from regular speedruns. As much as I love this kind of thing, I don't want my first submission to get embarrassed by several minutes right after posting. If anyone can beat an hour 12 or so, speak your mind, because if it's just going to get posted to be beaten, I don't want to bother. but whatever, I find little ways to pass the time. It's frustrating that I can't skip cutscenes, because it would save me a great deal of waiting around during the run. Yes, the english dialogue is TERRIBLE, so this run will be in Japanese with english subtitles.
She doesn't have to fight, so I can save a great deal of time running right past people or hitting them once to make them stagger out of the way. I won't give out a lot of details, but the thing that's closest to perfect in my opinion is the Kaede sections. Since I'm a masochist (not really, I just think it's purer to the art) I'm doing this single segment, meaning every time I miss the critical strike on one of those rolling bastards I have to restart if I want the best possible run. I want to pull it down to an hour 13 or twelve if possible, and I think it's doable.
The current run is riding right around an hour 15. Just to answer some things that I've seen people write. No guarantees, though, I don't want to rush it. Hey guys, so I haven't been working on the run for a while, but I'm getting back into it, so hopefully I'll have a submission in the next month or so.
